The short version: PetReady runs entirely on your device. We do not have accounts, servers, analytics, ads, or trackers. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal information, and nothing you enter leaves your phone.

This policy explains what the PetReady mobile app (“PetReady”, “the app”, “we”) accesses on your device and why. PetReady is an educational pet-readiness self-assessment for people planning to adopt or buy a dog. It is owned and operated by Sarang AI Technologies Inc., a corporation incorporated in Alberta, Canada.

1. Information you enter stays on your device

Your questionnaire answers, the dog you choose, your challenge progress, and your readiness report are stored locally on your device only. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. We never see them.

2. Device features the app uses (and why)

PetReady asks your permission to use a few device features. In every case the data is used on your device, in the moment, and is not collected, stored, or shared:

Location — used only while you actively start a walk, to measure the distance you cover so a walk task can be verified. We do not record your route, your coordinates, or your location history, and none of it leaves your device.
Motion sensors — used to detect the shake and tilt gestures in the care activities (for example, shaking to play or tilting to pour water). This happens on-device and is not recorded.
Notifications — if you turn on the reminder features, the app schedules local notifications on your device to prompt you for the dog’s care. These are generated on your device; no notification service receives your personal data from us.

3. Purchases

PetReady offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full challenge. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store — not by us. We never see or store your payment details. The app only learns whether you own the unlock, so it can enable the paid features and let you restore your purchase on a new device. Your use of the store is subject to Google’s and Apple’s own privacy policies.

4. What we do not do

No user accounts or sign-in.
No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect your data.
No selling or sharing of personal information — we have none to sell or share.
No servers of ours receive your information.

5. Data retention and deletion

Because everything is stored locally, you are in control. You can reset your progress in the app at any time (“Start over”), and uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your device. There is nothing stored on our side to delete, because we never receive it.

6. Children

PetReady is intended for adults considering a pet and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children (or from anyone — see above).

7. Not veterinary advice

PetReady is an educational self-assessment, not veterinary or medical advice, and not a guarantee that any particular animal is right for you. Decisions about getting a pet should be made with a qualified rescue, shelter, breeder, or veterinary professional.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and its “last updated” date.
